The Family Support Services Program
The Family Support Services Program is funded by Pennsylvania’s Office of Mental Retardation. FSS funds are allocated through the Developmental Disabilities Unit.  The Supports Coordinators develop Service Plans, for the use of these funds, with individuals and/or their caregivers whom have expressed a need that could be met by the program.  These funds are available to those consumers who could benefit from companionship services, family relief services, medical and therapy services not covered by their insurance, home modifications, adaptive equipment not covered by their insurance, family education and training, and more access to recreational opportunities. The Family Support Services program is called “Family Driven Services” and is overseen by a Family Advisory Council which meets once a month. Meetings are open to anyone participating in the program and are posted on our Website “Event Ticker”.
